Frosting... a great effect for wall signage
This sign was made for a client in the Sydney Central Business District. The
Panel is lifted away from the wall 20 millimetres using aluminium stand off
pins. This type of corporate signage can be sent directly to your office.
Easy to put on the wall, all you need is a level, a measuring tape and a
cordless drill. The letters are pre-spaced and fitted to the Plastic Panel
before we ship.
If your wall is blank, you
can consider adding a window frost film to
the background wall signage. This will lift the signs
appeal and give you a great effect.

Signage Description
- The panel is lifted away from the wall with Stand Off
Pins. These pins are very easy to install. Drill and
screw.
The background panel is a clear Perspex that has been
cut to size and the edges are flame polished to give an
extra smooth edge.
On the rear of the panel, we can apply a window frosting
film, solid opaque or translucent color that gives the
panel more visual depth. This is particularly useful
when placing a sign on a blank wall.
People walking into the reception can easily read this
style of signage. The overall look gives a feeling of
business strength and quality. Signs portray more than
words.
Product Description and manufacturing technique -
2 Layer Acrylic Laser cut sign with flame polished panel.
The plan below shows the production planning for the sign.
Stand Off pins are used to sit the background panel of the signage 20mm away
from the painted wall.
The Signage panel is 8 mm Clear Acrylic (flame polished edges) with a White
reverse applied Self Adhesive Vinyl to give the Acrylic rear Coloring. This
creates a very highly polished look and appearance.
The letters are laser cut from 10mm Clear Acrylic with a Colored reverse
applied Self Adhesive Vinyl cut to 1mm inner contour of the original letter
shape. This allows for accurate positioning over the Laser cut letter.

The appearance achieved is of outstanding
quality and uniqueness without losing the
impact required for a reception sign.

The layers are combined
using a sturdy outdoor grade clear 1.2mm
double sided tape, clear plastic welding
fluid or heat welded.
In this manner, the letters and the
background shapes require no holes or screws
to be fitted to each other.

The wall signage can be installed
easily with Stand Off pins into brick,
plaster or fabric walls using Wall Mates,
Nylon anchors or screws.
The Dome cap system hides all locking
systems and the signage can be levelled
easily.

How to install this sign
onsite. The overall design of the the
signage makes putting up the sign very easy.
Hold the sign in the correct position and
put a pencil mark through the oversized
holes. Drill and screw fixings are supplied
with most of our Online Signage options.
