Putting up panels with split battens | ||||||
| |||||||
Laser cut panels, split battens and how to put up your signs easily with this
carpentry technique.
Using a Split Batten DiagramSplit battens are a great way to fit your signs. They lift the panel away
from the wall and support the weight of the sign without any external holes. Both of these diagrams were put up on the wall using a batten system.
This diagram below shows a split batten system used for outdoors. Split
battens spread the weight of the sign and the fitting becomes stronger than
just screws or pop rivets. Two extra strong coach screws were used to
prevent any gale force winds removing the panel.
