Signage Description - The
reception sign shown above is made from Laser
Cut Acrylic (Perspex) that has been placed on
the wall with an extra strong double sided tape. The
initial design brief was to incorporate a three
dimensional letter behind the office reception wall
sign and replace a previous hanging panel.
The Logo / Letters are also
laser cut and reverse colored to give the
appearance of an 'Ice Sign'. Down lights help
illuminate the sign and create fantastic light
angles.
Now, when entering the business
reception area, clients are drawn to the signage and
this give the reception area a comfortable feel.
Comments are often said by people entering the
business how good this sign looks.
The world map on the left also
reinforces the company business location: South
Pacific. This map was redrawn by our graphic
designers from a small draft.

Laser cut sign.
The plan below shows the production planning for
the sign.

The cut out letters have been
drawn from a simple sketch/draft ready for laser
cutting. This involves placing lift and drop,
splatter spacing and directional heat controls
for the cutting of the lettering and logos.

Once prepared, the material
sheet is placed on the laser cutting bed and the
file is transferred to begin cutting. Heat and
speed settings are created.
Not all plastics and depth of plastic operate at
the same running speeds.

Applying the colour. The colours
are applied using a vinyl on the rear side of
the text. This can also be applied on the face
side for a different effect. Placing the colour
on the rear face creates an "Ice Sign" effect
and looks fantastic.

The letters are very easy to
install by an office member or local
handyperson. We include a full onsite measuring
sheet showing heights of 3d letters, the spaces
in between, overall length and more. This make
installing a sign very easy. We send projects
like this all around Australia.
