Trace Programs to Create Vector Files

Trace Programs cuch as Corel Trace, Auto Trace etc. are programs which turn an image (made of pixels) into a vector file (made of lines).

These programs are not reccomended as they do not give straight edges or lines, each pixel is converted to a line, giving extremley jaggered edges.

Technically, your pixel image is now a vector file, which can be enlarged to any size, however the quality remains poor.

It's important to create your work in the correct programs from the very begining.

Drawing is always better if you learn not to overlay line over line, both Corel and Illustrator have weld and combine, trim and cut functions that 'cut' a line that intersects.

Aim for a wireframe view that shows your logo or text etc in single layers.

This logo can be scaled to really big or tiny without losing any clarity.
