Direct feeds What is it?

Many business promotions are updated on a daily or weekly basis with new product listings and new releases. Direct feeds, normally XML feeds, are a method used to send the information on your web site directly to particular search engines. You will see these on lots of blog share sites etc. Not that interesting for just general chat, however, you can use RSS or XML or Atom for business in lots of other ways.

XML feeds are commonly used for news and shopping comparison engines.

Why is it used?
XML feeds offer a consistent cost effective means of ensuring that your latest information can get to your audience without email related spam problems etc.

Instant, as soon as you make a feed, your audience can view it. Not reliant on search engines finding your info some time in the future.

Great for News, If your business needs to let customers know an important marketing event, etc. RSS Atom or XML Feed is the way to go.
